Description
* Outside of comfort and basic convenience.
* Combines accommodation options in native homes, jungle camps (hammock and mosquito net) and/or private room or cabin with bed, mosquito net and access to full bathrooms.
* General public who believe in the magic of the jungle and in the spirituality of ancestral culture.
Gradual immersion in the jungle that allows a very close contact with the nature and culture of the region. The program in principle rescues the spiritual values of the jungle, nature and traditional culture, facilitating personal and/or group processes through words and listening, sharing rituals, isolation and solitude, as well as the daily life in the jungle and some practical exercises of awareness and internalization.
AUTHENTIC SPIRIT 4 DAYS
Day 1. Jungle and ancestral spiritual tradition.
08:00 Meeting with the guide and the operations team at SELVAVENTURA, hotel or airport, as appropriate. Review of the program and clauses. Check luggage. Land transfer in a private car to the starting point on the highway. Start of the walk in secondary forests of the Tikuna - Huitoto reservation north of Leticia (approx. 2 hours). Recognition of ecosystems, observation of fauna and flora in general, identification of species. Reception in the traditional maloca, welcome and accommodation (hammock with mosquito net). Lunch, sharing of daily life with the locals, uses, customs, sacred rituals of coca (mámbe) and tobacco (ambil / rapé). Visit to the chagra and collection of leaves for the mémbe. Preparation of the mámbe and sharing of the sacred element. Dinner, word circle in the mambeadero. Rest in the hammocks.
Day 2. Deep in the jungle
Sunrise at the maloca, walk to the ravine and meditative bath. Typical breakfast and start of sensory walk (management of silence and tuning of the senses) deep in the jungle. Lunch on the way and installation of camp No. 1 (hammock with net in the middle of the trees), preparation of the fire. Dinner, night sensory walk, word circle, meditation and rest in the hammocks.
Day 3. Amazon River. Flowing
Wake up in the jungle, bathe and meditate. Breakfast by the fire, pick up from camp and start of the approach walk to the Tikuna community of Arara. Casual tour of the community. Lunch at a native home. Approach to the port and navigation in a motorized native canoe (depending on water levels): Arara ravine, Paraná canal or Amazon river, Tucuchira ravine, to the Yaguas community. Search for dolphins, Victoria regia, bird watching, fauna and flora in general. Walk through the community and accommodation in a private cabin with bed and mosquito net. Meeting with the Taita at the visitor center, dialogues about plant medicine with the possibility of participating in the ayahuasca or yajé ritual. Participation in this ceremony is not included in the program and constitutes an exclusive agreement between the passenger and the Taita or shaman. Participating in the yajé or ayahuasca ceremony involves spending this last night in the jungle, near the site, in a special maloca for the celebration of the ritual.
Day 4. Rebirth.
Wake up and breakfast. Walk to the port and boarding a motorized canoe (depending on water levels), Tucuchira ravine to the Amazon River. River trip, search for dolphins and observation of the Vitoria regia. Lunch on the way. Arrival at the port of Leticia around 5:00 p.m. Transfer to the hotel, airport as appropriate. Optional additional: last night in a jungle hotel (Amazon River (Colombia, Peru or Brazil).

* The food provided during the tour is not à la carte or unlimited. Accept and make the most of what is offered, mostly regional food based on fish, "wild meat," cassava, and plantains, in homemade preparations, including improvised field meals for jungle excursions.
* Report any specific requirements or dietary restrictions to SELVAVENTURA before booking.
* Monitor and control your resources in terms of food, hydration, and energy expenditure during the journey.
* The program is subject to positive changes in favor of the customer due to weather conditions and other external factors.
* Carry a personal identity document under your responsibility during the excursion. Be patient and proactive in the face of possible adversities.
* Do not bring jewelry, non-essential valuables, important documents, or large sums of cash.
* Access to energy sources, internet, and/or coverage is limited.
* Take strictly the minimum necessary luggage for your excursion.
What to bring?
* Waterproof backpack or dry bag (ergonomic, minimum 40 liters in capacity).
* A second smaller backpack for short expeditions during the journey.
* Do not bring your luggage in hard-shell suitcases or wheeled bags.
* If you do not have waterproof backpacks, pack your belongings inside plastic bags within the backpack.
* If you have your own suitable jungle gear (hammock, mosquito net, and sleeping bag), inform SELVAVENTURA and bring them.
* Personal utensils (plate, cup or mug, and cutlery for eating).
* Personal medications and dietary supplements.
* Personal hygiene items: toothbrush, toothpaste, and deodorant of your choice.
* Avoid bringing soaps, shampoos, perfumes, creams, and other cosmetics to reduce the load during the journey and minimize environmental impacts.
* Clothing suitable for hot, humid climates, breathable and quick-drying. Include at least one pair of shorts, swimwear, pants, long-sleeve shirt, a couple of t-shirts, underwear, and socks for the number of days. If the weather allows, clothes can be washed and dried along the way.
* 1 pair of rubber boots, preferably, or any boots that can get wet and dirty during the trip.
* 1 pair of sandals or outdoor-type sneakers, lightweight and quick-drying, to wear when you rest from the boots.
* Snacks and additional food of your choice.
* Sun protection: hats, long sleeves, and sunscreen.
* Rain cape or poncho, thin and lightweight.
* Cameras, phones, chargers, batteries, and electronic devices at your own risk, in shockproof and waterproof containers.
* Accessories: water bottle and/or camelback for personal hydration, headlamp with extra batteries, bandana and/or hat, small personal towel (light, quick-drying), and sleeping bag (if you have it) ultra-thin, lightweight, and easy to pack.

* Ponga en conocimiento del personal de SELVAVENTURA cualquier problema o anomalía que tenga que ver con su salud e integridad física, antes de iniciar la excursión.
* SELVAVENTURA y su equipo de prestadores de servicio en campo manejan botiquines de primeros auxilios básicos, durante el recorrido y en las distintas estaciones. En algunos casos, nuestros guías podrán suministrar medicina tradicional a base de plantas y/o aplicar protocolos convencionales para estabilzación de pacientes en campo, cuando sea necesario.
* Ante toda situación de salud delicada que se presente en campo, el personal de SELVAVENTURA facilitará, bajo las condiciones puntuales y dentro de las posibilidades reales, la movilización del paciente hacia el centro de salud más cercano.
* Traiga sus propios medicamentos recetados o de uso personal, bajo su responsabilidad, en los debidos envases.
* COVID19: aplique responsablemente los cuidados personales antes durante y después de realizar su excursión, de acuerdo con la normatividad internacional. El personal de SELVAVENTURA obedece los protocoles internacionales vigentes, pero respeta y tolera la libertad de manejo del tema por parte de los proveedores, prestadores de servicios y/o cualquier transeúnte que llegue a interactuar durante el recorrido en los distintos escenarios.
* Fiebre amarilla: la recomendación internacional, norma para algunos países tropicales, obliga a portar el carnet de vacunación contra la fiebre amarilla el cual tiene validez de 10 años y no aplica para mayores de 60 años. Si tiene el carnet pórtelo y si no se ha vacunado consulte si el país o región de destino está exigiendo el carnet o no a la hora de viajar. De todas maneras, la región de la amazonía por donde se realiza esta excursión no representa un riesgo para contraer la enfermedad. Las autoridades locales usualmente no piden el certificado.
* Malaria o Paludismo. Aún no está a disposición en el mercado formal la vacuna para esta dolencia. La probabilidad de contraer esta enfermedad durante su excursión es baja, pero puede acentuarse en algunas temporadas y sitios puntuales a lo largo del año. La mejor prevención es no exponerse a los mosquitos durante su horario de actividad habitual (05:00 a 07:00 / 17:00 a 19:00), usar manga larga y repelentes. No recomendamos tomar medicamentos profilácticos (“preventivos”) contra esta enfermedad ya que no esta demostrada su eficiencia total y estos afectan significativamente su organismo. Las personas que utilizan estos medicamentos pueden camuflar la enfermedad en su cuerpo con efectos a largo plazo. En caso dado, esta enfermedad se detecta fácilmente con exámenes de sangre y tiene su respectivo tratamiento médico curativo.
* Diarrea y males de estómago. Eestadísticament constityen el factor de desestabilidad más común en el bienestar de los viajeros. Para prevenir recomendamos el uso de antibacterial en las manos antes de las comidas y lavar con agua clorada y jabón los utencilios de cocina antes y después de cada uso. Eventualmente, en casos de malestar estomacal moderado, nuestros guías podrán utilizar remedios con plantas de su conocimiento y/o tratamientos básicos de estabilización, con sales minerales hidratantes y reparadores comerciales de flora intestinal.
* Alergias. Estas constitiyen estadísticamente el mayor factor de riesgo durante las excursiones en campo. Avise al personal de SELVAVENTURA si usted sabe que es alérgico a algo y asegúrese de llevar a campo sus propios medicamentos antihistamínicos. Para casos de alergias no conocidas, el guía porta en su botiquín algunos antihistamínicos básicos de uso común.
* Después del viaje. En caso de presentar síntomas anormales como fiebre, dolor de cabeza, gripes fuertes, dolor de articulaciones, diarrea etc… después de su viaje; recomendamos visitar centros médicos especializados y advertir que se hagan exámenes pertinentes para posibles enfermedades tropicales.
Cancellation policies and contractual clauses
* Responsabilidad sobre bienes materiales. Nuestras excursiones pueden involucrar la visita a escenarios sociales públicos con presaencia de población local carente, fuera de nuestro control. En nuestras excursiones pueden ocurrir accidentes fortuitos con daño o pérdida de bienes materiales. Durante todo el recorrido, cada pasajero es único responsable del cuidado de los bienes que decide llevar a la excursión. Nuestra agencia no se hace responsable por el cuidado de ninguna de sus pertenencias, bajo ninguna circunstancia.
* Pago. Este plan se reserva para las fechas solicitadas con un anticipo total (preferiblemente) o mínimo del 50% de su valor total. El programa debe ser pagado en su totalidad por adelantado, a más tardar 24 horas antes al inicio de la excursión. Algunos de nuestros programas pueden requerir el pago total anticipado para reservar.
* Cancelación o abandono. SELVAVENTURA se reserva el derecho a considerar y decidir internamente sobre cualquier posibilidad de devolución de dinero, en caso de cancelación previa o abandono de la excursión en marcha.
* Postergación. Los clientes que por fuerza mauyor demostrada no puedan realizar la excursión, reconocerán a SELVAVENTURA el valor de cualquier compromiso adelantado por la empresa en favor de la excursión, en caso de haberlos, y podrán retomar su excursión al futuro, según su conveniencia, pagando el saldo que venga a lugar en su momento.
* Compensación. En caso de errores, fallas o incumplimiento reconocido por parte de SELVAVENTURA - dentro de sus responsabilidades operativas directas, que signifique un deterioro en la calidad del servicio prestado a nuestros clientes, la empresa ofrecerá algún tipo de dervicio adicional en favor del cliente, dentro o fuera del programa tomado, a manera de compensación proporcional.
* Reembolso. A manera de conciliación, SELVAVENTURA acudirá al reembolso económico total o parcial, ante el reconcimiento de error o incuimplimiento demostrado en perjuicio objetivo del cliente, únicamente en caso de no poder llegar a otro tipo acuerdo.
* Noshow. Se considera No show, al incumplimiento por parte del cliente que no aparece ni se reporta ante la agencia en un plazo mínimo de 24 horas a la fecha de inicio de su excursión. En este caso SELVAVENTURA cobrará al cliente un valor del 30% sobre los dineros depositados más lel valor de los pagos adelantados a terceros en función de la reserva.
