We are a travel agency and tour operator, made up of a local, diverse and transgenerational team. We are dedicated to caring for and promoting the natural and cultural heritage of the most isolated and biodiverse regions of Colombia, under the principles of sustainability. We offer personalized immersion experiences in natural settings, to adventurous travelers who respect nature and value the ancestral cultures associated with it.

“Selvaventura has been my life project since 1998”
Luis Felipe is the developer of the Selvaventura Colombia project. He is a biologist graduated from the Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, a naturalist, a passionate ecologist, an innate explorer and a professional tour guide. He has dedicated his life to positive and balanced interaction with the natural environment and ancestral cultures, through the practice of ecotourism and experiential education as ideal work tools to achieve sustainability.
Selvaventura
SELVAVENTURA was born in Tabatinga, Brazil, as a backpacker accommodation center with jungle excursion services. In 2003, the SELVAVENTURA travel agency and tour operator was opened in Leticia, becoming the first legal agency for "non-conventional" jungle operations. Since then, its mission has been to provide experiential travel that goes beyond comfort, in close contact with the culture and nature of the region, as a fascinating adventure in the form of a real expedition.
For SELVAVENTURA, respect for differences and the value of individuality have always been fundamental as a policy of fair, participatory and relevant inclusion of locals at their different levels of organization, with direct and indirect roles in the development of all programs. For this reason, and because we are directly involved in the preservation and care of the places we visit, while creating opportunities for dignified and sustainable livelihoods, we define ourselves within the categories of eco-tourism and ethno-tourism. We are pioneers of sustainability and regenerative tourism, committed to creating global benefits.
From the beginning, we focused on serving adventurous travelers, nature enthusiasts, and those who respect local cultures, guided by the principles of experiential education and the academic foundations of biology and ecology. Over time, we have expanded our research internationally, catering to both individual tourist and group from colleges and universities, as well as corporate groups in the areas of leadership, incentives and events in general. We leverage the cultural and landscape diversity of the of the places we visit to create and unforgettable experiences for our travelers.
We always position ourselves as the top choice for travelers seeking personalized, authentic, safe, and high-quality adventure experiences. To achieve this, we dedicate time and resources to exploring lesser-known geographies and landscapes, venturing off the most commercialized routes, and immersing ourselves in the most pristine nature, the richest cultures, and the most thrilling adventures.
