Chorrera and Okaina territory (8 days).
A unique immersion in the culture and sacred territory of the Huitotos (Murui/Muinane), Boras, Okainas, among other ethnic groups.
During this 8-day journey, we will visit La Chorrera, the traditional Malocas, La Casa Arana, La Cordillera, the Igará-paraná river and the virgin Amazon jungle.
An experience full of nature, biodiversity and a lot of traditional culture hidden in the Igará-Paraná basin and its minor tributaries.
Day 1. Flight to La Chorrera.
Flight to La Chorrera (municipality in the department of Amazonas) and presentation to the regional authorities upon arrival.
Walk along the road towards the town of La Chorrera, crossing the suspension bridge over the Chorro de Juma (La Garza), bordering the lake until reaching the house of José Pablo Neykase, an Okaina indigenous person. Welcome and accommodation: multiple accommodation in rooms with shared bathrooms.
Activity for the afternoon-evening: walk through the town and visit the Chorro, visit to the maloka of Major Manuel Zafiama (representative of the elders of the AZICAtch association); night talk about the ritual of coca and tobacco, introduction to the jungle and traditional local culture, blessing of the trip by the grandparents.
Rest at home.
Important: lunch and dinner according to the arrival flight itinerary.
Day 2. Igará-paraná downstream.
Breakfast and walk to the port. Boarding with luggage, sailing down the Igará-paraná river to the Murui maloka of grandfather Calixto Kuiru, where the Yadiko festival is traditional; Lunch at Maloka and farewell.
Descent along the river to the Okaina maloka of grandfather Pablo Neykase; disembarkation and accommodation in the house of Mr. Aris Eduard Neykase: multiple accommodation with shared bathrooms.
Recognition of the place, dinner, welcome night talk with grandfather in Maloca.

Day 3. Okaina Territory.
Typical breakfast in the house.
Walk to the plateau, sighting of flora and fauna, visit to the small jets or waterfalls, recognition of endemic plant species; Lunch in the countryside and return to the house.
Interactive visit to the indigenous farm where coca and tobacco, among other food species, are planted; Collecting the coca leaf and the yarumo to prepare the mámbe, for the night talk in the Maloca, accompanied by typical drinks (caguana and manicuera). Narration of mambe and ambil stories by the grandparents, harmonization of the trip and permission to spend the next night in the mountains.
Rest.
Day 4. The Cordillera.
Sunrise, breakfast and preparation of luggage for the walk to the bottom of the mountain in the company of grandfather Pablo; lunch in the field.
Setting up the camp with straws on the shore of the Achiote ravine (NONOK+), dinner (Patarásca) and a chat around the campfire by the elder (myths and legends).
Day 5. La Maloca.
Sighting of endemic birds at dawn.
Breakfast in the field and teaching of the typical cambuche (tamcho or jad+cho) by the elder, the assistant and the guide; Return to the maloca for lunch.
In the afternoon, interactive exhibition of crafts and cultural implements in the maloka; dinner, night harmonization and closing of the experiences.
Rest.
Day 6. Quebrada El Diablo.
Breakfast and farewell to the place.
Motorboat navigation along the Igará-Paraná river and the El Diablo stream upstream; artisanal fishing activity and lunch on board.
Arrival at Epifanio Siake Okaina's cabin, on the edge of the ravine, reception and welcome. Presentation and recognition of the place, accommodation in the (rustic) cabin, bathing in the ravine, dinner and preparation for the night canoe safari, making fishing traps for breakfast the next day.
Day 7. Return to La Chorrera.
Sunrise, bath in the ravine and breakfast.
Walk to the Igará-paraná river (approximately 2 hours); meeting the boat with outboard motor and sailing upstream to La Chorrera.
Accommodation at José Pablo's house, lunch at the Parrilla y Pez restaurant. Walks through the sector in the afternoon, visit to the boarding school and old Arana house. Dinner at the house and final talk in Grandpa Manuel's maloca, harmonization, gratitude and farewell to the NOF+KO PLAN.
Rest at home.
Day 8. Farewell, return flight.
Breakfast, walk to the port with the luggage.
Final navigation through Lake Juma and disembarkation in the main port of the Arana house; historical cultural visit, 20-minute exhibition on the rubber genocide, walk to the runway and waiting for the departure flight.
